The 17 Most Stylish Female Superheroes in Comic Book History

Happy National Superhero Day, everyone!

Practically every other actor wants in on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe train. Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman this June, Academy Award winners Lupita Nyong’o and Brie Larson will star in Black Panther and Captain Marvel, respectively, and Cate Blanchett will be playing villain Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, alongside Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth. Hell, even Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley!) wanted in on the fun, and is playing the villain in Netflix’s upcoming Defenders series.

A-List roster aside, superhero movies aren’t meant to be taken super seriously (Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool, anyone?). But what we love most are the costumes, obv.

In honour of these amazing wardrobes, we’ve rounded up the most stylish female superheroes and villains (oh hey, Harley Quinn) in comic book film history. From Michelle Pfeiffer’s iconic catsuit in 1992’s Batman Returns to Jennifer Lawrence’s spiky blue scales as Mystique in X-Men: First Class, check out the badass women that made our list.
