Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Wedding Has an All-Star Music Lineup

This is our dream party playlist...

Watch your back Glastonbury, because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day is shaping up to a biggest U.K. music event of 2018. Here’s a lineup of the wedding singers rumoured to perform at the royal reception, and the songs we think they should have on their setlist.

The Spice Girls

HOW WE KNOW: Leave it to Mel B to spill the (British style) beans. During an appearance on The Real, Scary Space shared that all “five Spice Girls” (Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisolm, and herself) were invited to the wedding — confirming that she had RSVP’d yes.

Then came the very important question: Will the Spice Girls be performing? Mel looked down and threw her talking cards in the air in defeat. The audience screamed — this is basically a yes, right? “I need to go. I’m gonna be fired,” Mel B said, realizing she’d already shared too much.

WHAT THEY SHOULD PERFORM:

“Wannabe”

  • Best lyric: “If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give, taking is too easy, but that’s the way it is.”

“2 Becomes 1”

  • Best lyric: “Are you as good as I remember baby, get it on, get it on.”

“Spice Up Your Life”

  • Best lyric: “La la la la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la la la La la la la la la la.”

Elton John

HOW WE KNOW: In early February, it was announced that the 70-year-old singer was rescheduling two performances of The Million Dollar Piano in Las Vegas: one on May 18, and one on May 19. These dates just so happen to fall on the weekend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

It would, of course, make sense for the “Tiny Dancer” singer to attend the nuptials: John was close friends with Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, and has previously spoken out about how wonderful it’s been to see Harry “totally in love” with his princess-to-be.

WHAT HE SHOULD PERFORM:

“Your Song”

  • Best lyric: “I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is while you’re in the world.”

“Can You Feel the Love Tonight”

  • Best lyric: “It’s enough for this restless warrior just to be with you.”

“Tiny Dancer”

  • Best lyric: “But oh how it feels so real, lying here with no one near.”

Ed Sheeran

HOW WE KNOW: “Prince Harry has personally requested Ed perform at his wedding,” a source told US WeeklyThe fellow British red-head is buddies with Harry’s cousin, Princess Beatrice, and when Sheeran was asked about the possibility of a royal wedding performance last year, he said: “Yeah, why not?”

WHAT HE SHOULD PERFORM:

“Castle on the Hill”

  • Best lyric: “We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill.”

“Thinking Out Loud”

  • Best lyrics: “Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars, place your head on my beating heart.”

“Perfect”

  • Best lyric: “I see my future in your eyes.”
