Waking up to today’s massive snow dump is not exactly how we pictured the start of the new month, but hey, it’s winter and we might as well embrace it. Cue the Sundance Film Festival 2015, which momentarily shifted attention from the red carpet action on the Gold Coast to wintry Park City in Utah. A-list stars kept their glitz and glam at home, opting for cozy winter ensembles (think cozy coats, knitted sweaters and trusty snow boots).
As you may have guessed, sweaters were the It pieces of the week, with Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie layering white shirts underneath, and Jennifer Connolly pairing Louis Vuitton’s coveted Fall 2014 fair isle update with a good ol’ bootcut. But if we were choosing favourites, Hailee Steinfeld and Lena Dunham’s ugly holiday-inspired sweaters won our votes. While Steinfeld added a little edge to her colourful Tommy Hilfiger piece with leather pants and shearling-lined boots, Dunham looked absolutely adorable in her Coach cable knit sweater featuring a cartoon character stitched on the front.
