If there is one thing we learned this year, it’s that celebrities (and possibly their stylists) never cease to amaze. Sure, there are some off days (who doesn’t?), but judging from these consistently dressed-to-the-nines actresses, performers and style stars, we’ve come to learn that there are just some people who rarely get it wrong.

We’ve already mentioned 2014 happened to be the year of beauty transformations. And boy, did it do good for some celebs, namely, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence. While T-Swift chopped off her long, blonde locks, which may or may not have influenced her red carpet 180º (hello endless midriff baring ensembles!), J-Law grew out her pixie cut and simultaneously took her best-dressed style to the next level by (pleasantly) shocking us in a red carpet premiere outfit that didn’t have Dior sewn into the dress label. Do we need to remind you how amazing she pulled off the vampy ’90s look at the X-Men: Days of Future Past premiere? We think not.

And we just couldn’t leave out Britain’s English roses, Keira Knightley and Emma Watson from the bunch. While Knightley showed us she could make our jaws drop in pretty much any glitzy look, Watson proved that she could change the world (ahem #HeForShe) in style. Oh, she also picked up the prestigious Style Award at the 2014 British Fashion Awards. And speaking of stylish accolades, a best-dressed list is not complete without the recipient of CFDA’s Fashion Icon of the Year Award: Rihanna. From elegant gowns to one jaw-droppingly transparent outfit, Riri owns it all.

So who deserves the title of being the best dressed celebrity of 2014? From Kate Middleton to Angelina Jolie, we round up 15 of the most fashionable A-list stars that stole the spotlight. Tell us which takes the cake by voting in our best dressed celebrities of 2014 poll.
