Oscars 2018: 13 of Our Favourite Red Carpet Couples
Happy 2018 Oscars! It’s the evening we’ve all been waiting for: The culmination of awards season is finally here and all eyes are slated to be on the most politically-charged moments of the night.
Of course our coverage of the most important night in film (after all, it is the 90th Academy Awards) wouldn’t be complete without a roundup of our favourite couples—whether partners, BFFs or even colleagues—on the red carpet.
Actors Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd—both of whom were at the forefront of the Harvey Weinstein allegations—walked the red carpet together. “I chose my date extremely well,” Judd told ABC on the carpet.
Directors Dee Rees (Mudbound) and Jordan Peele (Get Out) attended the ceremony with their significant others, Sarah M. Broom and Chelsea Peretti, respectively. Best Actress nominee Margot Robbie (I, Tonya) brought her mother as her Oscars date, while Whoopi Goldberg arrived with her daughter.
And Call Me By Your Name co-stars Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer stopped to pose for a much-needed photo opp together. (Chalamet, who’s nominated for the best actor category, brought his mom as his “official” date.)
