5 Reasons Why Netflix’s New Series Friends From College is Going to be a Summer Hit

We’re calling it. Summer is going to be a Netflix-filled season, thanks to the latest binge-worthy shows and movies coming down the pipeline (Glow! Bloodline! Okja!). Next on our watch list? Friends From College.

Produced, directed and written by Harvard alums (and IRL husband and wife) Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, the half-hour series follows a group of 40-year-old friends who graduated from—wait for it—Harvard. As they face the ups and downs of being in their 40s, they attempt to balance adult life with their nostalgia for the past, keep up with old friendships and, of course, avoid (and probably fail at) becoming romantically entangled with one another. In other words, it’s going to be very entertaining.

Starring funny guy Keegan-Michael Key and former How I Met Your Mother star (and FASHION cover girl) Cobie Smulders, the eight-episode show is giving off major HIMYM-meets-Friends feels, which means we’ll surely be rolling on the floor laughing by the end of it. Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage and Jae Suh Park round out the rest of the entertaining cast.

While the show won’t be available for us to watch until July 14, fear not: See below for exclusive sneak peeks of the show and the list of five reasons why Friends From College is sure to be a summer hit.
