Riverdale: Season 3

Does this teen-favourite drama series get worse and worse every episode? Yes. Will I continue watching the show into its third season? Absolutely. Sure, it’s campy and creepy as heck, but the ultra-good-looking-cast and this-is-so-ridiculous plot lines keep me coming back for more. Plus, if we don’t keep watching, we won’t get to see what a “twisted” Breakfast Club-themed flashback episode looks like. And that’s something I really need to see to understand.

The Kindergarten Teacher

Maggie Gyllenhaal stars in this American adaptation of Nadav Lapid’s unnerving 2014 Israeli drama, a film which follows a teacher whose devotion to a gifted student borders on obsession. The film premiered to rave reviews at Sundance and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, with critics everywhere seemingly agreeing: “The Kindergarten Teacher is probably the only movie about poetry with an ending as tense as any thriller.”

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Sabrina the Teenage Witch first aired, Archie Comics’ teen witch is heading to Netflix with Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka as its broom-straddling star. The reboot has, of course, been rebranded for the millennial binge-watcher: The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is less family-friendly sitcom, and more “dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.”
