Selena Gomez’s New Single is FINALLY Here

"And I keep hitting re-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat"

After a week of confusion, anticipation and controversy, Selenators can breathe a sigh of relief. Selena Gomez finally released her latest single, “Bad Liar,” and, naturally, the Internet is freaking out.

Since the first image she teased on Instagram back on May 11, fans have been speculating what the words “Bad Liar” scrawled on a bathroom mirror could possibly mean. Guesses ranged from wondering if she’s dropping a new album to who she might be collaborating with to, most importantly, who the song is about. But after a week of (failed) investigative work, her single (music video included) dropped, and it’s on everyone’s playlist.

It’s certainly a new sound coming from the 24-year-old singer. However, we’re not surprised, given that she’s been consistently revamping her image since her comeback (new hair, new beau, new show—you get the idea). Gomez’s latest track features a sample of “Psycho Killer,” the 1977 song by American rock band Talking Heads, and a fan was quick to point out a video of the singer listening to the tune during a trip to Miami back in 2014.

But what is a song debut without some hilarious Twitter reactions, c/o Selenators.

Rumour has it she’ll be attending the upcoming 2017 Billboard Music Awards, which means there’s a big chance we’ll be able to see the singer perform it onstage. In the meantime, watch the exclusive MV on Spotify right now, or, better yet, here’s the complete audio version so you can listen to it over and over (and over) again.
