After the wedding chaos settles, it’s reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be taking off to Namibia, a sparsely populated country on Africa’s south-west coast. The country boasts sheer natural beauty, enchanting wildlife and remote, off-the-grid locations perfect for the most popular couple in the world. Given the couple’s well-documented connection to Africa, the destination makes sense: they’ve visited the continent together twice, once to Botswana on a date (casual), and again for a three week holiday, plus Markle’s engagement ring includes a diamond from Botswana.
The royal pair has reportedly booked their post-wedding getaway through luxury lodging company, Natural Selection, which operates safari camps in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa. A Daily Express source says that the Prince and newly minted Princess will use a number of different lodges, in attempts to keep the honeymoon as pap-free as possible. Natural Selection currently has four safari camp locations across Namibia, each promising “camera-baffling, eye-tricking landscapes” and close encounters with lions, rhinos and elephants. Best of all? “The experience is never shared with anyone but the wildlife,” the company’s site advertises. The whole thing sounds pretty romantic — and a perfect way to decompress after being at the centre of Royal Wedding 2.0.
