Yesterday was a family affair for the royals (minus Prince George and Prince Harry), with Prince William and Kate Middleton joining The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. Traditionally attended by the Queen (she is the Head of Commonwealth) along with royal family members, the event is one of the largest multi-fate services and one of the most important events to celebrate political communities. The event featured hymns, readings, performances and testimonies from different corners of the Commonwealth with roughly around 2,000 participants that included High Commissioners and dignitaries attending the public event.

For the public occasion, it looks like Kate is just as ready to take out her spring outfits after sporting looks in darker tones as of late. The Duchesss of Cambridge opted for a bespoke pale pink coat by Alexander McQueen for the affair. And if you can’t exactly place where you last saw her in this coat, let us help refresh your memory. Middleton wore this last June during the Trooping the Colour parade, which marked her last public appearance before the birth of Prince George (don’t worry, though; this isn’t foreshadowing—she isn’t due until April). As the queen of recycling outfits, Middleton once again made her whole ensemble look new by making some changes in the accessories department. Opting for a head-to-toe pink ensemble, the Kate debuted a new Jane Taylor Millinery hat (to show off that glossy, half up-do) and matching pink Prada pumps and clutch. While her former engagement in the McQueen coat had seen her accessorizing drop-pearl earrings to match the beautiful pearl buttons, this time, Kate continued the blush theme with pink morganite cushion drops on white gold hoop earrings by Kiki McDonough.

Baby number two’s due date may be roughly in a month, but with the Duchess’ busy week ahead, it looks like the saga of Royal Baby Watch isn’t coming to an end just yet.
