Caitlyn Jenner Tells Trump his Transgender Policy is a “Disaster”
She's changed her mind.
Remember when Caitlyn Jenner was a proud supporter of Donald Trump? You should; she was one of Trump’s only high-profile fans in Hollywood.
Finally, it looks like the transgender activist has realized that working with Trump doesn’t ensure that your voice is heard. The Trump administration has lifted the Obama-era policy that provided federal protection for transgender students, and like many, Jenner has something to say.
Jenner made a bold statement addressing her concerns in a video posted to Twitter.

“I have a message for President Trump, from, well, one Republican to another: This is a disaster. And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community,” she said, holding her hand to her ear like a cellphone. “Call me.”
Jenner was an early Trump endorser and attended his inauguration in January. In a June 2016 interview with Stat, Caitlyn spoke as to why she was pro-Trump.
“I’m on the conservative Republican side,” she said in the Q&A. “Everybody looks at the Democrats as being better with these issues,” she added. “But Trump seems to be very much for women. He seems very much behind the LGBT[Q] community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue. He backed the LGBT[Q] community.”
Jenner was likely referring to the Trump interview on the Today Show, where the then Presidential hopeful said Jenner was able to use whichever bathroom she pleases at Trump Tower. He goes on to say the highly controversial North Carolina bill—which required people to use the bathroom that matched the gender on their birth certificates—had “a lot of problems.”

Also in the Twitter clip, Jenner calls bullies “sick” and speaks directly to the “trans kids of America.” She tells them “You’re winning. I know it doesn’t feel like it today or every day, but you’re winning. Very soon we will win full freedom nationwide, and it’s going to be with bipartisan support. You can help by checking out the National Center for Transgender Equality and letting Washington hear you loud and clear.”
