Oh, Wimbledon, one of the rare occasions where fashion and sports come together. The prestigious British tennis tournament—known for its royal patronage and its heavy supply of strawberries and cream—doubles as the perfect backdrop for It-Brits and out-of-town celebs to outshine each other courtside. The event promises world-class people watching with annual appearances by the Middleton clan, David and Victoria Beckham and Anna Wintour.

Yesterday marked the opening day of this year’s Wimbledon tournament and the spectators were definitely on their fashion A-game. Wimbledon regular Pippa Middleton took in the action from the royal box where she and Kate Middleton—who’s now too pregnant to attend—have sat in years past. Also spotted was British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who took in the tennis from the Evian Live Young VIP Suite.

Pippa Middleton chose a pastel blue frock and matching jacket by French label Sandro for the first day of the games. Middleton, who’s a tennis player herself, paired the two-piece ensemble with nude wedge sandals by Ash Jade and a nude clutch by Lamb 1887. The beautiful brunette sported perfectly blown-out tresses (must be a Middleton thing…) and her makeup was kept simple, with a swipe of hot pink blush and basic black eyeliner. Naomi Campbell was also feeling the pastel blues with a classy shift dress that she topped with a fierce black suede lace-up jacket, adding a necessary amount of edge to the outfit. Campbell completed her look with black suede wedge sandals and model-esque oversized sunnies. Campbell, who stars on the hit TV show The Face, rocked enviably long wavy tresses, berry coloured lips, and minimal makeup. Because, let’s face it if we had Naomi Campbell’s face we’d be ditching the makeup too.
