Bella Hadid Liked a Photo of The Weeknd on Instagram and People Can’t Handle It

Can we just let the girl live?

Today in celebrity ~*drama*~, Bella Hadid liked a photo of her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, on Instagram, and people can NOT stop talking about it.

If you recall, Hadid dated the Canadian crooner in 2016, but split in November, just before strutting the Victoria’s Secret runway and living every girl’s fantasy of looking unbelievably hot while seeing your ex. (The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, performed during the show.)

Since their split, Abel moved on to date Selena Gomez, who famously dated another Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, in the past. Abelena (as the Selenators call the couple) have been very public with their relationship, attending the 2017 Met Gala together (where Hadid was present) and posting photos of each other on their respective social channels.

Still with us? Good, because we’re getting to the ~*juicy*~ part.

Since The Weeknd started dating Gomez, Hadid swiftly unfollowed both singers on Instagram. However, eagle-eye social media users noticed Baby Bells liked a photo of her ex-bf on the cover of Forbes magazine, posted on The Shade Room.

Like we said earlier, it caused quite the stir, with trolls rudely calling her out for a simple double tap, as reported by Elle.

The model then unliked the photo a few minutes later, with people, yet again, calling her out on it.

But seriously, CAN THE GIRL LIVE?! Perhaps she’s just happy for the man she once loved, and honestly, someone liking a photo of an ex (especially if it’s a magazine cover) shouldn’t be that big of a deal, celeb or not.

As Bella told Teen Vogue in February, “I’ll always respect [The Weeknd], and I’ll always love him. Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”

So let’s just all calm down and let Bells just do her thing, cool? Kthnx.
