Follow Us Around Hong Kong and Thailand: We Vlogged Every Day of Our Trip!

For our Summer issue, the FASHION team ventured to Hong Kong and Phuket to create a 33-page fashion and travel feature starring model Shaughnessy Brown. With the hustle of Hong Kong and the Phuket’s laid-back nature, combining these two countries into one is like having the best of both worlds. You can read about every aspect of our whirlwind 7 day trip here, or watch it in our vlogs below!

After 14 hours, we arrive in Hong Kong in style! Get a tour of Cathay Pacific’s business class cabin from our editor-in-chief Noreen Flanagan and see how to get the best sleep of your life on an airplane.

Following the long haul flight, we need to spend a morning at the Lanson Place Hotel before we head out scout possible photoshoot locations including the longest escalator in the world and the International Commerce Centre’s nightly light show!

The photoshoot kicks off! We try fishballs on the floating village of Tai O, check the Ngong Ping 360 glass-bottomed cable cars off our tourism checklists and make a scene on neon streets of the Ladies’ Market. (And take some pictures along the way!)

Noreen takes a break from the fast pace of Hong Kong to get a tour of all the must-visit eateries according to blogger and designer Gloria Yu. We say goodbye to Hong Kong by taking in the views of Victoria Harbour from the rooftop bar at Red Sugar and, later, from a Chinese Junk boat.

We make sure to check in for our flight to Phuket early and take advantage the amenities in Cathay Pacific’s business class lounge.  With three different restaurant options, showers and a room full of beds, the team is well rested before we get to our island getaway resort, the Nai Harn.

We go island hopping in Phuket and take our photoshoot to the famous James Bond Island and Panyee Island, a Muslim fishing village built on stilts with a floating soccer pitch.

On the last day of our trip, we head to the Phangnga Elephant Park, one of Thailand’s ethical elephant tourism destinations, our guide June Na-Songkhla gives us a quick Thai lesson and the trip ends like it started: in the lap of luxury. We hit the pool and have dinner before getting treated at the Nai Harn.
