Beauty Blender for hair strobing
A U.K.-based hairstylist named Jamie Stevens cuts a Beauty Blender in half and uses it to apply hair dye for a soft, strobe-y effect. “The soft and round edges of the blender means that the applied colour blends into the hair so you don’t get random splodges of colour,” he told Cosmo UK.

Coral lipstick as under eye concealer
According to the colour wheel, orange cancels out blue. So, it’s only natural that we would want to use our fave coral lipstick to correct our dark circles. A few dabs of an orange-hued lipstick blended in the under eye area, topped off with some concealer will balance out your bags perfectly.

Eyeshadow to fix your roots
Try finding a matte shade of eyeshadow that matches your hair colour, and simply dust the pigment across your roots. Used by the Kardashians’ hair stylist, Jen Atkin, this trick is also perfect if you have dark hair and a light scalp. According to Atkin, it will make your hair look much thicker in photographs. Hey, if it’s good enough for the Kardashians it’s good enough for us, right?
Translucent powder isn’t just great for baking your makeup, it’s also a great way to make your lashes long and voluminous (sans falsies). Simply pick up some powder on an eyeshadow brush or a cotton swab, and dust on the lashes in between coats of mascara.

Deodorant as a mattifier for your face
As strange as it seems, it makes a lot of sense: if it can stop sweat in your armpits, why not on your face? According to Gucci Westman, all you need is a bit of deodorant to keep your face shine free all day long. Swipe your fingers along the deodorant and pat on your T-zone, or other problem areas after you’ve applied your makeup.
A trick established by hairstylists long ago, if you’re in a pinch, using a lip balm can be the answer to your flyaway hair problems. Simply smooth your ends down with a small amount of product on your finger tips. Bonus points if you use a moisturizing, more natural option like Jurlique’s Love Balm, which has no parabens or sulfates.
