Kat Von D Beauty Announces Its First Official Makeup Team: The Global Artistry Collective
Kat Von D is growing her beauty family, adding four professional makeup artists and influencers to her roster.
The tattoo and makeup artist has announced her eponymous beauty brand’s first official makeup team, calling it the Global Artistry Collective.
The Artistry Collective consists of four hand-picked professional makeup artists and influencers: Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick, Tara Buenrostro, Steffanie Strazzere and Leah Carmichael (pictured below, clockwise from left to right). These four women will represent the Kat Von D Beauty brand globally and will serve as Kat’s right-hand partners for press features, product development, photo shoots, global master and 101 classes and new program launches for the brand. They will also create exclusive content on the brand’s social media channels, including a newly-launched YouTube channel, which will offer exclusive announcements to viewers and subscribers, as well as never-before-seen artistry content.
“I am so excited to expand the Kat Von D Beauty family with these extremely talented women who are the perfect reflection of the brand. I discovered these gifted artists through their remarkable work on their personal Instagram accounts, and while each one of these ladies is brilliant in her own right, we are unstoppable together as the Artistry Collective,” Kat said in a statement.
“These ladies are true artists with big hearts and are so essential in spreading Kat Von D Beauty all over the world on a much more profound level. I hope that the unique content we create with the Artistry Collective will also be an inspiration to others.”
In the YouTube channel’s first vid, Kat introduces the team, referring to them as “fucking badasses,” highlighting each of their individual strengths — Leah’s ability to create flawless complexions, Tara’s raw style, Steffanie’s gothic aesthetic and Kelsey’s ability to manipulate makeup to look like a painting.
