Holiday Eye Makeup Looks That Aren’t Basic

The holiday season is in full swing and you no doubt still have a handful of parties to attend, not to mention New Years Eve. Well, we have you covered in the beauty department with these three eye looks. Graphic glitter, perfect for a sparkling New Years Eve party, a modern cat eye for a holiday house party, and a fashion-forward smokey eye for an office party. For all three looks start with moisturizing the skin before applying your foundation and concealer. Next up, apply bronzer and a pop of colour on the cheek then set with powder in the T-zone only.

Step 1
Find your shape. With the eyes open, map out with a bit of shadow where your wing will
be. Not every eye shape is the same and some eyes are easier to do this look on than
others. Generally you want the “wing” to point towards the end of your eyebrow. Next, instead of
filling in your winged eyeliner, pull the wing into the crease to create a more dramatic look.

Step 2
Clean Up. No one, not even makeup artists will get the perfect flick every time. Very lightly clean up the edges of your liner for a more defined line.

Step 1
Apply a metallic shadow in the inner corner of the eye with a shadow brush. Blend out slightly over the entire lid, but keep the majority of the shadow placement in the inner corner.

Using tweezers, pick up the glitter and dot a little eyelash glue on one side.

Place at random in the inner corner of eye and repeat on the other eye.

Step 1
Start by applying a cream base shadow. Apply this all over the lid and lightly blend out into the crease.

Then apply a bold blue shadow all over the lid and blend into the crease. For this look we kept the shape more rounded for a more dramatic look rather then blending out the shadow.

Step 2
With a small brush, softly smudge the deeper blue eyeshadow along the lower lash line
before adding a slightly lighter green shadow in the inner corner of the eye for an extra pop of
colour.
