Introducing Lidstar, The New Glossier Product That Was All Over the Oscars Red Carpet

Last year, Glossier used the Oscars red carpet to debut a now-beloved new makeup product: Cloud Paint, the gel-cream blush that now, one year later, is a staple in everyone’s makeup bag pink pouch. Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Taraji P. Henson, Allison Williams, Rashida Jones and Chrissy Teigen all wore Cloud Paint on the Oscars 2017 red carpet, before the product was released.

And presumably, due to the massive success of that launch (like we said, it’s a pink pouch staple), Glossier applied a similar red carpet debut method at the Grammys this year, when the brand revealed that Beyoncé (yes, BEYONCE) and SZA were both wearing a soon-to-be-released Glossier product.

And then…nothing. A month passed without any word on this mystery product. Until now.

With a (mesmerizing) Instagram post, Glossier announced that the Oscars red carpet tonight would see celebs wearing Lidstar, the brand’s latest offering, which will be available on Glossier.com tomorrow. Lidstar, from what we can tell, is made up of six ultra-sparkly liquid eyeshadows, in shades of purple, pink, silver and gold. (Beyoncé, as it turns out, was wearing the shade “Fawn” at the Grammys.)
