Nails have sort of taken a backseat for a couple of seasons now, with nudes taking over. However, with cool new products surfacing, it seems like the world of nail polish is about to get a lot more interesting.

Nail polish can be a perennial fave for anyone who has an ounce of interest in the beauty industry. And with high shine and salon-looking finishes being the most covetable look, plain old polish just isn’t cutting it anymore. Thanks to products like Static Nails‘ reusable, luxe-looking press-ons and Sally Hansen’s gel top coats that can turn any DIY into an Instagram-worthy shot in seconds, there’s finally something new for manicure maniacs.

So what else lies in store for nail polish in the future? Who better to ask then the pros? From Essie Canada’s lead nail artist Rita Remark to celebrity manicurist Fleury Rose, we talked to four of the top nail artists in the industry about their trend predictions, as well as products they hope to see on their beauty shelves one day.
