Forget #IWokeUpLikeThis: The M.A.C Cosmetics x Zac Posen collection is bringing drama and glamour
We’ll never tire of reporting on makeup collabs. Another week, another collab, another date to mark on our calendars. The latest designer to release a collection with M.A.C Cosmetics? Zac Posen.
Given the fact that M.A.C has played a vital part in Posen’s design career—complementing his extravagant dresses with megawatt makeup since his debut—it’s kind of a no-brainer that the two are finally collaborating on a collection. And, judging from the campaign photos, it looks like it’s going to be easier than ever to bring a little of Posen’s signature red carpet glamour to our everyday. Red lipstick? Check. Jewel-toned eyeshadow palette? Double check. Black liquid liner for those feline flicks? But, of course.
“Over the past 15 years, I have learned a great deal from M.A.C about beauty. Fashion and beauty go hand in hand, and I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand,” says Posen. “It was only natural to work with M.A.C to create my first-ever signature collection. I wanted to keep it luxurious, a little mysterious, and clean—with a large dose of star wattage.”
