Matching Celebrity Tattoos Are the New Friendship Bracelets

ICYMI, the girls of Pretty Little Liars said goodbye to their show in the most perfect way ever: matching tattoos on their “shh” finger. But when it comes to best friend tattoos, they are not the first to jump on this trend. Recently at the the Emmys, Sophie Turner (aka Lady Sansa) revealed her matching Game of Thrones tattoo with her character’s sister/IRL bestie Maisie Williams and it’s giving us major friendship goals. In the past couple of years we’ve seen everyone from Hailey Baldwin to Cara Delevinge show off matching tattoos with their equally famous best friends. Even Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul got Breaking Bad tats to commemorate the end of an era. Compared to those measly string friendship bracelets, getting inked together is definitely a more solid way to prove your BFFAE status. And hey, if things don’t work, it won’t be the first time celebrities regretted it. #justsaying

The girls of Pretty Little Liars got their character’s first initial inked on their index fingers, naturally. Shhh.

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams got “07.08.09” to commemorate the date they got their Game of Thrones roles.

Cara Delevingne and Margot Robbie tatted “toe emojis” in Robbie’s pop-up Harley tattoo parlour.

Though they are not matching (or millenials), we can’t help but include Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul’s Breaking Bad tattoos, inked by the series’ camera operator Andy Voegeli. Best. Show. Ever.
