Behind the Scenes of Halsey and Madison Beer’s iHeartRadio MMVAs Prep
The 2018 iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards took place last night in Toronto, and despite the heat and humidity, celebs showed up in their best beauty looks. We caught up with Halsey and Madison Beer’s makeup artists to get a behind-the-scenes look at their makeup looks from last night.
Halsey
Makeup artist Denika Bedrossian did singer Halsey’s makeup last night. “We wanted to go slightly edgy with a pop of lavender,” said Bedrossian, who used KISS Lash Couture Triple Push-Up Collection falsies in “Bustier” for Halsey’s fluttery eye makeup. “These fluffy lashes give drama but in the right way, adding a dark base at the lash line with a wispy edge.”
Madison Beer
Makeup artist Vincent Oquendo worked his magic on singer and actress Madison Beer at last night’s MMVAs (with hair by Canada’s own Matthew Collins!).
“The look was really simple because Madison is such a stunner. I always do eye makeup first. I focused on adding a little kick in the corner to accentuate a cat eye shape,” said Oquendo. “I’m super inspired by the ’60s look—Like a vintage sex kitten, a young Sophia Loren.”
The focus was on eyes for Beer’s look, and Oquendo used the KISS Lash Couture Triple Push-Up Collection to achieve an over-the-top lash look. The lash collection is inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic double-layered lashes, a rare quality that made her eyes so iconic.
