Bastide Aix-en-Provence Fleurs D’Oranger Dry Oil Mist

At this time of year, I can’t get away with not moisturizing the lower half of my body unless I want to be torturously itchy all day long. But sometimes I don’t feel like dragging out the industrial strength body salves so lately I’ve been reaching for this as a quick solution. It absorbs quickly but what I love about it most is the dreamy orange blossom scent, which is like a ray of sunshine when it’s -15 degrees outside and the snowbanks await. —L.H.

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Stick AP+

This isn’t the most glamorous pick, but La Roche-Posay’s Lipikar Stick AP+, which came out in November, has been making my life a lot easier this winter. I get a couple of hives here and there when the temperature drops, and this tiny, portable stick (it kind of looks like a mini deodorant) stops an itch in its tracks as soon as I feel it coming on. Made with nourishing shea butter, madecassoside (an anti-inflammatory antioxidant) and zinc gluconate (which has antibacterial products), it’s the perfect product for anyone who has dry, itchy skin, eczema or, like me, weather-related hives. I haven’t been without it in months and is so easy to inconspicuously roll on and throw back in your purse. —S.M.
