After countless seasons of “no makeup” makeup, we beauty lovers have something other than highlighting and dewy skin to obsess over. In fact, the Fall 2015 couture shows in Paris featured such a wide array of makeup looks, that we see some major colour action in our futures. From Chanel‘s bold lips and and severe bobs, to Jean Paul Gaultier‘s graphic liner, we have a lot to look forward to. But worry not, lovers of the “natural” look, Versace brought back the glowy face with a slight twist—a subtle smoky eye. Another strong statement to try this fall is a bold blush, as seen on the Schiaparelli runway (the bright blue eyeshadow is optional). And if the hint from Chanel wasn’t enough, the models at the Armani Privé show were also sporting a bright lip, but this time in pink, the apparent new red. Linda Cantello, the makeup artist behind Armani Privé’s looks at couture week questioned, “why do we have to wear red or dark burgundy lips in the winter? Why can’t we wear shocking pink?” The stunning look she came up with obviously proves we can.
