Beach beauty essentials: The only products you need to have a totally chill day

What would summer be without a few trips to the beach? While the season’s quickly coming to an end (ugh, we know), there are still a few glorious weeks to get out there and soak up the sun. Which then begs the question — what do you pack for a low maintenance day at the beach? We consulted our Beauty Panel to share with us their beach essentials.

Everyone loves a good day at the beach. In between the salty waves and the hot sand, there are a few key things that I love to have on hand for a successful excursion. Here are my essentials I love to keep stashed in my beach bag while I’m out enjoying a little fun in the sun!

First and foremost, sunscreen! I keep minimum SPF 30 with my all the time (and don’t forget your lips! Grab a lip balm with at least SPF 15 to protect those puckers). To keep my hair fresh I love to have a comb and a big hair clip that can handle wet strands. After my hair dries, a little dry shampoo can help pump up air-dried locks.

To get some glam factor at the beach, a fun piece of jewelry and some oversized sunnies are always fab. When it comes to makeup, a dual-purpose tint is all you need to give a little extra colour. Another thing I like to have on hand is a mini crystal nail file.

A couple things not shown in the picture, but I find so essential to have in your beach bag: A large water bottle (because it’s a must to stay hydrated), and also a Bluetooth speaker (because tunes at the beach can take the fun factor to the next level!).

Products used: TRESemmé Fresh Start dry shampoo, KINeSYS spf 30 sunscreen, Benefit Lolitint, The Green Beaver spf 15 lip balm, Henckels crystal nail file, Jessica Simpson sunglasses

I’m the happiest at the beach! In fact, I grew up next to one so the beach was very much part of us!
While I love the sun and the sand, I am deathly afraid of skin cancer and of course, wrinkles!

My beach day essentials would first require the most perfect beach bag and I love this one from Hudson’s Bay, it carries everything you need from your books to your magazines, from your swimsuits
to your outfits and your skincare needs. What you need the most is obviously sun protection! If you tend to break out with tiny bumps, try Reversa’s Toner, which is good for oily and acne-prone skin as oily skin tends to get oilier in summer weather. As I’m worried about premature aging, I use Reversa’s Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF 30 all over my face and neck. And for the rest? Cetaphil’s Lotion and Sun Bum’s Sunscreen Spray applied regularly. Coz you can never have enough sunscreen!

Products Used: KORRES Wild Rose Facial Oil, KORRES Brightening Targeted Tone Corrector, REVERSA Radiance Cream with SPF 30, Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter, JOE FRESH Lash Focus Mascara, Stila Cosmetics Perfect me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette, QUO from Shoppers Eyeliner and NYX Canada’s Liquid Suede in Tea & Cookies.

My beach day essentials are simple. First off, a cute roomy tote is a must. Let’s face it most of us don’t bring a handbag to the beach, so this will be part of the look and keep anything important like your cellphone and money safe. Beautiful coverup, large brim hat and cute sandals. Towels, sunscreen and a large mat for seating. And if you have it a large umbrella is amazing.
