Put this weird thing on your face: Holika Holika’s Pig Collagen Jelly Pack
We are always proponents of trying new beauty products that initially cause us to cock an (immaculately groomed, hello!) brow. Our latest foray into “WTF is this?” beauty: Holika Holika‘s Pig Collagen Jelly Pack.
We’ve talked about our love of Holika Holika in the past so it wasn’t hard to convince us to slather this stuff on. It is, as the name suggests, made with collagen that’s extracted from the skin of a pig. If that doesn’t turn you off (vegans and vegetarians obviously need not apply), then keep reading! Collagen is something that’s found in everyone’s skin and it’s what provides that firmness and plumpness that we’re all after. As we age, we lose that firmness, and that’s where masks, creams and fillers come into play.
The Holika Holika Pig Collagen Jelly Pack is a light pink gel that has the consistency of Jell-O, and has a fresh floral scent, making it a breeze to pat on your face at night and sleep in. When you wash it off in the AM, you’re left with skin that’s firmer, brighter and ultra-moisturized (and stays moisturized all day, thanks to collagen’s ability to lock in moisture). It’s also made with gold extract so it has flecks of gold throughout. How’s that for a glam product made of pig guts?
