Calgary Shops: March report
It’s all about the bright sexy dresses.

What better way to give winter the boot than in a bright, ’80s-inspired ensemble by the handsome and oh-so-talented Canadian designer Arthur Mendonça? For day, I’m thinking the high-waisted trousers, paired with a colourful, eye-popping top and a bright belt—and for night, one of the sexy dresses that show a lot of leg. Art of fashion
I love this month’s installation by artist Aimee Qui (aimee-q.com) at Shisomiso (100 Seventh Ave. SW, Suite 105, Calgary, 403-266-4211, shisomiso.com). The illustrator, painter and designer, who earned a fashion degree in China, is currently studying graphic design at the Alberta College of Art and Design, but says fashion illustration is what floats her boat. Based on the edgy illos, her upcoming clothing line should be well worth checking out. Stay tuned.

love the color, style of dress except for the bottom area around feet - looks like a sack or part of dress has fallen from upper area. It needs accessories of goldtone to compliment for an outstanding statement
