The 12 Most Instagrammable Ice Cream Places in Toronto

Just in time for #NationalIceCreamDay

For National Ice Cream Day this year (on Sunday, July 16th!) Foodora teamed up with two of their restaurant partners–Death in Venice and Glory Hole Doughnuts–to bring us a new Instagrammable frozen treat. Everyone, meet ‘Death & Glory,’ a gelato doughnut sandwich.

Made with ricotta rosemary lemon gelato and sandwiched between a chocolate-glazed doughnut, Kaya Ogruce (Death in Venice) and Ashley Jacot De Boinod (Glory Hole Doughnuts)’s brain child is the summer dessert we never thought we needed. However, the $9 treat is available for a limited time only (read: Sunday, July 16 to Sunday, July 23rd) through the food delivery’s app or website, so you’ll have to act fast when the time comes. Since ice cream and home delivery don’t make for the best combo, the Death & Glory sweet will only be available for pick-up.

But if you’re not really into ice cream doughnut sandwiches, or you’re just looking to make a second ice-cream stop on National Ice Cream Day (we don’t judge!), we’ve got you covered. Luckily for us Torontonians, there are plenty of other places to grab a frozen treat—all year long. (As if we need a national day to eat ice cream.) From cotton candy confections at Sweet Jesus to green tea soft serves imported from Japan à la Tsujiri to the city’s hottest charcoal treat at iHalo Krunch, we compiled a list of best ice cream places in Toronto. Oh, did we mention they’re all Instagram-worthy? Yep, these cool treats will ensure a plethora of likes. We assure you.
