With warmer weather on the horizon, we’re dreaming of where our sunny afternoons will be spent. While we’ve enjoyed some patio-perfect days in the 6ix already, there are way more to come. Since it seems like there’s a patio on every corner, we wanted to help narrow down the list to five of the hippest spots to check out. From premium dive bars to bustling nightlife day-life scenes, there’s something for everyone.
Local Public Eatery, 171 E Liberty Street
Nestled between the cobblestone and brickwork of Liberty Village is Local, a gastro-pub with a patio fit for your competitive side. Take on your friends in a fierce bocce ball tournament while enjoying killer $2.50 tacos.
Queen St. Warehouse, 232 Queen Street
Right in the heart of Queen West is Warehouse, a true neighbourhood gem. Check out its patio for a perfect view of the CN Tower, and enjoy anything on the menu for only $5(!!!). If you like what you eat, buy the chef a beer—or, better yet, donate a meal to the homeless through the restaurant’s give-back program.
Amsterdam Brew House, 245 Queens Quay
Get those Muskoka vibes on at the Amsterdam Brew House, set right on Toronto’s Harbourfront. It’s perfect for an after-office escape or a pre-Jays game beverage. If you’re a true beer drinker, take the Brew House tour and learn how their beer is crafted.

Looking for a little nightlife during the day? Dive into Cabana Pool Bar for some fun in the sun. Often hosted by DJs, its pool area is surrounded with cabanas available for bottle service and snacks. This is the place to show off your killer new bikini.
Mascot Brewery, 31 Mercer Street
Spend the afternoon with views of the city and easy conversation at Mascot’s communal tables. This rooftop restaurant features nibbles and bites cooked fresh out of the outdoor kitchen. It even has a food truck that sits on the Astroturf, giving you that really down-on-the-street-level feel.
