After last week’s epic induction at Holt Renfrew, spring party season ramps up with the Art Gallery of Ontario’s annual Massive Party this Thursday. In its 10^th year, the bash is a stylish, sexy night at the museum, complete with installations, performances and open bars a’plenty. And while our RSVP status is most definitely “yes,” our outfit selection is a little less set in stone. To help us with some inspiration, we turn to 10 Massive Party organizers, performers and partygoers for tips on what to wear.

My outfit for this year’s party will channel Grace Jones, with a touch of pin-up girl flair. I’ll wear a vintage, orchid chiffon cropped blouse with the perfect amount of sparkle, a black strapless body suit, black pencil skirt with sexy back slit and Agent Provocateur stockings with a purple seam. Butter London’s “Molly Coddled” nail lacquer to bring it all together.

I rarely get to dress up, so I’m aiming for the evening’s coveted “10 out of 10” with a black and white tuxedo look. I’m an artist, so a tuxedo means more bowtie and ripped jeans than James Bond. I mean, would he wear fingerless gloves? I will be.

The great thing about this year’s theme is that it’s not specific to a type of dress, which opens the doors to your own creativity and style. This year I am going to wear a long, backless, red jersey dress with a big chunky silver necklace, silver earrings and black motorcycle jacket. Not sure about the shoes yet, either sky high wedges or strappy sandals so I don’t tower over my husband.

I will be wearing a white, sparkly sequined dress and my nude Louboutin pumps that make me feel happy. I think dressing like a perfect ten isn’t about a certain style or size, but how it makes you feel. We need to focus more on the confidence you have when wearing your favourite outfit.
