The Weeknd Was Spotted at the University of Toronto

Showing up for Monday morning class can have its perks. Yesterday, students at the University of Toronto were treated to a surprise visit from The Weeknd, who according to a casting director, was shooting the video for his song Secrets at the Scarborough campus.

Abel Tesfaye (a.k.a. The Weeknd) was born and raised in Scarborough, which might have a little something to do with the choice of location for his new video. In footage taken by students (who probably should have been in class), the singer was spotted all over campus and walking through the halls.

According to the casting call, students at the university have first dibs on 10 extra positions. If you’re in the age range of 20 to 60, we suggest signing up quickly.

The singer is actually no stranger to the university. Last month he made a donation of $50,000 to the University of Toronto to bring back Ge’ez, a lost Ethiopic language.

Needless to say, Selena Gomez’s new man can cause quite the stir in the school yard.
