17 Street Style Shots That Prove Gucci is All Anyone Wants to Wear to Milan Fashion Week

Geeks, pleats and an onslaught of horse bits were in full swing on the streets of Milan yesterday for Day One of MFW. The main event? Gucci‘s Fall 2016 show (duh). Adherents of Alessandro Michele and the storied Italian house stepped out in their wildest, most eccentric garb in a celebration of oddball style, which made for some incredible street style shots.

Some guests took to donning head-to-toe looks. There was Bryanboy, photographed in a pussy-bow blouse layered beneath a housecoat rendered in emerald silk, and Anna Dello Russo, seen in a multicoloured, tiered gown—a far, far cry from the days of Posh Spice’s notorious little Gucci dress. Others chose to mix and match Gucci’s statement pieces with basics—think a silver leather bomber paired with white jeans and scuffed-up Nike Cortez à la Forrest Gump, a Dionysus purse styled with velvet pants and stilettos, an embroidered knit sweater coupled with a denim skirt, and outfits topped off with dainty berets.

Here, 17 of the best street style shots that prove Michele’s geek-chic movement is here to stay.
