Nordstrom Cuts Ties with Ivanka Trump’s Fashion Line

This is major.

In a controversial move, Nordstrom has severed ties with Ivanka Trump’s line and will no longer be selling her shoes and clothing at their retail stores or online.

Claiming that the decision was purely based on numbers, a statement from the Seattle-based department store said, “We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance. In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” referring to the upcoming spring collection. As of this morning, all that remained on their website from Trump’s collection was 4 pairs of shoes, on sale.

The decision comes in the wake of the #GrabYourWallet campaign, which encourages buyers to boycott products associated with President Trump, his family and his supporters. Yesterday, Shannon Coulter, co-founder of #GrabYourWallet, shared on Twitter, “Big news everyone. You did this. I am in awe.”

According to The Washington Post, the campaign now has more than 60 companies in their crosshairs, including Trump’s golf courses and hotels.
