Whether you were following the shows at London Fashion Week all weekend long or are just catching up now, Spring 2013 is shaping up to include everything we could hope for after a long winter. Here’s just a handful of the trends and items that have stood out from the shows so far:

Sass and Bride showcased numerous stunning dresses in classic black and white. The bright neon orange pants along with a white blouse and short long sleeved jacket was the best look by far—especially with laced up booties to finish it off. Casting man Russell Marsh exclaimed he wanted the girls to look ‘fresh’ and that they did with minimal make-up and pulled by hair.

Vivid metallics were the highlight of the Burberry Prorsum show. Trench coats—a signature look for the designer—were played up with beautiful hues of magenta, purples and bright blues. The models walked the runway looking ready to take on the world, with matching handbags and bold ankle strap heels.

A favourite of both Pippa and Kate, Temperley London’s Fall 2012 collection was seen on Kate Middleton just last week—so we awaited the new collection with great anticipation. The designs were filled with bold reds and blues and many an oversized stripe. Although majority of the pieces were too sheer and revealing for the Duchess of Cambridge we found one look we think would get her stamp of approval. This white dress has a slight conservative appeal along with a slight slit and sheer sleeves with embroidered detailing—which Kate Middleton usually opts for.

Christopher Kane chose to tone it down and his Spring 2013 collection focused on pastels. The soft hues looked beautiful on the models. There was also a mixture of clean whites that already made us long for the days when we edge out of the hibernation of dark winter shades.

At Preen the collection was all about snazzy snakeskin. Although floral prints were also seen it was the snakeskin details on majority of the pieces that really stood out. This look in particular is an impressive mesh of textures that look spectacular together. The top features stripes, white cuffs and snakeskin whereas the skirt is beaded with sheer edges—when paired with strappy heels and natural hair and makeup it really comes together.
