The sporty trend has taken over my life and become part of my everyday style. Now not only are my outfits on trend, but they are functional in my day to day life as well. From tennis shoes to sporty stripes I am ready to wear my stylish looks all day and feel great. It is like a gift from the fashion gods who are tired of seeing us in pain for the sake of fashion.

Sportswear is a way of life for me. As a mom, I need fabrics that are easily laundered, can transition from a lunch out to the playground and have some level of comfort. I don’t think people need to sacrifice fashion for practicality any more. There are so many trendy athlete pieces on the market that look as good as they feel. For me the biggest change in sportswear that I’ve adopted is the neoprene trend. This material is amazing! I love that it has some structure to it, plus it still has some stretch for those active moments you may have in your day.

As a dancer fitness is definitely a way of life for me which is why I’m so excited about brands like Titika introducing active couture. From clever cut outs, to strappy bras, and sheering paneling; a lot of these garments are begging to be seen outside the dance or yoga studio. Whether you’re pairing these slash pants with sneakers or tall boots, or this cut out sports bra with a high waisted skirt in place of your go to crop top: these pieces surpass form and function and take active wear to next level.
