FALL/WINTER 2016 TRENDS EVENT

With last week’s heat wave in full force, Toronto fashionistas were eager to cool off at FASHION Magazine’s Fall/Winter 2016 Trends Event hosted at the Berkeley Church. Guests stayed hydrated by sipping on Aperol cocktails, Kim Crawford wines, Social Lite Vodka, Steam Whistle beer, and Flow water. As the afternoon unfolded, trends were spotted throughout the venue which included everything from metallic-glazed éclairs crafted by Delysées and a makeup .gif generating station courtesy of PartyPix. Before heading down to the presentation, guests filled up on tasty bites from Daniel et Daniel.

FASHION’s Editor-in-chief Bernadette Morra led the panel in discussing the upcoming runway trends. She was joined onstage by her stylish team consisting of Senior Editor Sarah Casselman, Beauty Director Lesa Hannah, Executive Editor of fashionmagazine.com Randi Bergman and Editor-at-large Zeina Esmail. David Livingstone, the Editor-in-chief of Men’s FASHION closed off the presentation with this season’s menswear trends.

The panel members highlighted trends from all ends of the fashion spectrum. While patches, appliqués, checkers, and capes have dominated women’s runways; baggy pants and scarves have taken over fall/winter men’s runways. The presentation concluded with the editorial team sharing their must-have fall wardrobe for looking fabulous.
