All the ridiculously good looking photos from last night’s Zoolander 2 premiere in NYC

Well, it’s taken 15 years, countless orange mocha frappuccinos, and one freak gasoline fight accident, but we finally have our Zoolander sequel. Obviously you know that, because the five syllables of Der-ek Zoo-lan-der are literally, like, so hot right now. Since the drop of the Vogue cover, it’s been Zoolander 2 pandemonium, culminating in last night’s prestigious premiere-turned-runway show at Lincoln Center in NYC. The crack team assembled to pull the whole thing off was A-list all the way (not that anyone as good-looking as Derek Zoolander should be expected to put up with anything else).

The marquee cast members took to the runway outfitted in a bespoke silk suit, pyjamas, hotpants, and a Pillsbury Dough Boy-esque quilted number (Mugatu, ever the visionary), by such industry heavyweights as Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, and Alexander Wang.

There was also a gaggle of gorgeous girls on hand to round out the evening’s festivities (most of who were approximately three years old when the first movie was released, just in case that whole “15 years ago” thing wasn’t making you WTF already). Imaan Hamman, Irina Shayk, Taylor Hill, and Stella Maxwell were all working their best Blue Steel impressions to a pulsating soundtrack provided by Skrillex. Models of the season Fei Fei Sun, Fernanda Ly, and the Gig herself were present as well, snapping selfies with sucked in cheeks, furrowed brows, et al.

In a world dominated by youth and beauty, comebacks 15 years in the making hardly ever (scratch that: NEVER) pan out. But Derek Zoolander is not a man to be bothered by items as trivial as facts. He is a pioneer, a merman, a lover of Finnish dwarfs and Maori tribesmen. A fashion darling who captivated the world with his magnificent bone structure and incomparable philanthropic vision circa Y2K. And still today.
