Venice Film Festival 2015: The 10 best dressed celebrities on the red carpet so far

When it comes to film festivals, nothing really comes close to the glamour of Cannes. Until now, that is. Every year, we always keep tabs on who shows up at the Venice Film Festival and there’s usually only a handful that grab our attention throughout the 10-day festival. But being only day six into this year’s, it seems like we’ve already lost count as to how many celebs have walked the red carpet. Seriously, this year may be the most star-filled one yet.

With back-to-back photo calls, premieres and after parties, film festivals really put celebrities’ (and their stylists) wardrobe games to the test. But judging from this gallery, these A-list stars are pros. Take this year’s jury members Diane Kruger and Elizabeth Banks for example. With already multiple events checked off their agenda and A+ looks across the board, you can say the two judges are nailing it in the style division. Dakota Johnson is also generating quite the buzz in the romantic Italian city. We’re used to seeing the actress in sleek but sultry looks (see: Black Mass premiere), but for this past weekend’s A Bigger Splash premiere, Johnson stepped out her comfort zone and opted for an embellished Marc Jacobs gown and big, ’80s hair. Amber Heard also caught our attention at the festival. She may be in town for her own premiere (all eyes were on her and her floral Alexander McQueen gown), but when it came to her hubby’s premiere, Mrs. Depp took the backseat in a classic black gown. But if we’re naming favourites, the belle of the ball is none other than Kristen Stewart who went for full-on glamour at the Equals premiere.

From Hailee Steinfeld to Tilda Swinton, here are the 10 best dressed celebrities on the Venice Film Festival 2015 red carpet so far. And with the film festivities arriving in Toronto in less than a week (FYI, TIFF starts this Friday!), we can’t wait to see what the celebs will be bringing to our city’s red carpet. TIFF 2015, it’s your move.
