It’s that time of year again, friends! Just like a high school reunion—except with taller, ridiculously good-looking women—we all can’t help but get a little excited when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show comes back around. This year the show packed up its bags and headed across the pond to London town, where they set up shop at Earls Court and even brought Taylor Swift back along for the ride.
A number of valid questions will probably race through your mind as you tune into watch the show next Tuesday, December 9, 2014 on CBS. What does it feel like to wear a two million dollar bra? Which trendy NYC workout program did Karlie Kloss attend to get that banging bod—Modelfit or Soul Cycle? What’s it like to be best friends with Taylor Swift? While we will most likely never know what it’s like to wear a two million dollar bra, it’s safe to say the life of a VS Angel is the life to live.
Between the bejeweled faux-tanned bodies on the runway, we witnessed Swift perform her hit single “Blank Space,” wearing a blush pink satin robe trimmed with black lace that she paired with marabou pom-pom embellished heels. Also joining the show this year was Ariana Grande, who wore a teeny tiny glittery two piece ensemble with an acid-pastel embellishment created by London native street wear designer Nasir Mazhar. And we certainly can’t forget to mention—probably one of the greatest moments of the show—Grande getting smacked in the face with model Elsa Hosk’s marabou feather wings. The singer handled the incident flawlessly as she later tweeted about it, hashtagging #bangbangintomyface.
Other performances included Taylor Swift’s past world tour mate, Ed Sheeran who was loving life, as well as Hozier, who sang “Take Me To Church” as the girls walked down the runway wearing gilded wings. Various themes of the show included a Gilded Angels segment, where each model rocked a gold variation of the wings and lingerie set, as well as an Exotic Traveler display, that saw a number of jewel-toned ensembles featuring rubies, sapphires and diamonds no less. Other highlights featured a Canadian model debut from Grace Mahary, who got to rock a part in the University of Pink segment, as well as not one, but two (2 million dollar) fantasy bras worn this year by Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.
