The Pitch Perfect 3 Trailer is Here and We Can’t Stop LOL-ing
The Bellas are back, pitches.
Get ready, pitches. The Barden Bellas are back, and they are singing a whole new tune.
Ever since we heard that there will be a third instalment of the song-inducing movie, we’ve been patiently waiting (while scrolling through the cast’s Instagram photos for all the BTS tidbits we can get). With the official trailer finally dropping, it looks like the wait is over.
Unlike the first two movies, Pitch Perfect 3 will follow the lives of the Barden Bellas post-college. While it looks like our fave characters are leading the grown-up life working at nine-to-five jobs, we are quick to find out that the girls aren’t exactly loving it. Missing the good ol’ a cappella days at Barden University, they decide to head to Europe to the USO, which puts on a performance to support the U.S troops. Of course, it’s not smooth sailing. When they arrive, they find out they’ll be competing against bands who play actual instruments.
Directed and produced by, and starring, Elizabeth Banks once again, we will see Anna Kendrick reunite with the hilarious cast members (Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hailee Steinfeld, to name a few) and face some new competitors, like Ruby Rose, who plays Calamity, the leader of the rock band competing against the Barden Bellas. Aside from knowing there are going to be some amazing performances (like in an aquarium?) and exploring Fat Amy’s origin (about time!), the trailer didn’t give many clues on what the movie will about.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to sing-a-long with the Barden Bellas until December. Judging from the trailer though, the wait will be worth it. Aca-believe it.
