What I learned so far at TIFF 2015: George Clooney is the chillest guy in the universe

Last night I broke my personal TIFF rule: never take photos with celebs. But what if said celeb is George Clooney, the chillest guy in the universe? Well, guess I can make an exception just this once. At last night’s Audi premiere party for Our Brand is Crisis, Clooney outdid his DTP (down to party) reputation by sticking around hours after most partygoers (read: Sandra Bullock) had gone home.

It was just my party dates and I observing him and his newfound pals with the ease of say, creeping your crush at the pizza joint. At one point I actually brought over a plateful of kale caesar salad like it was a goddamn dinner theatre. And he continued to oblige, entertaining us by glad-handing and drinking Casamigos like it ain’t no thang. Central to this viewing experience was Jennifer, George’s beach-waved bodyguard, who while also being extremely chill (not that she made much eye contact, with hers staying on the prize and all), showed off her expertise in judging the body language of the thirsty before helping us land said photo.

Earlier in the evening, chill vibes also prevailed at Grey Goose Soho House, where despite an elbow-to-elbow packed room, one was easily able to spot the cast of Sicario having a great time. Emily Blunt (wearing a Dior Couture mesh bustier dress) was there with husband John Krasinski in tow, while co-stars Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin posed for some photos before heading to the red carpet premiere.
