The countdown to Christmas is on, and we can hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too. And although winter is coming (thank you for that reference, Game of Thrones) so is our annual tradition of picking out the best holiday windows in department stores across the globe. From London to New York, we’re rounding up the cities that bring the Christmas cheer.

Kicking off our list is Burberry’s partnership with Printemps in Paris. The windows echo the brand’s current campaign with Romeo Beckham and feature a little boy (decked out in all Burberry, of course) traveling with his teddy bear, starting out at Burberry’s flagship store in London and ending in Paris. Lord & Taylor had Nick Jonas preform the opening ceremony in New York along Fifth Avenue. The store’s theme took a traditional route with little villages, mice climbing the chimneys and a starry night backdrop.

Down the street, Barney’s unveiled its Baz Luhrmann-designed holiday window in style, which include a super glam metallic oversized owl and winter wonderland’s forest. While Bergdorf Goodman partnered with UNICEF and its iconic snowflake, dazzling with Delpozo dresses.

Meanwhile at home, Holt Renfrew was inspired by the Northern Lights, transforming its Toronto windows into a “dreamlike fairytale” focusing on deep blue and green shades with metallic influences throughout the windows. And as per tradition, Hudson’s Bay has transformed its famed Queen Street windows into Santa’s workshop, complete with the North Pole, holiday trees and a little village.
