What’s in your bag, Jay Manuel?

“[What] I wear on-air is my Skin Perfector Foundation which has micronized silk in it so it has the skin blurring technique [and] the luxe powder. I just need mascara and bronzer, that’s all I keep with me.

This is just a brush roll because when I’m on air, I demo. We have our own custom, branded brushes – which we do sell. I always have my own brush roll with me so I know that they’re there.

This [mascara] actually hydrates and protects your lashes. Most women, when they do a thin coat for day and then going out in the evening they can’t really [reapply] that mascara because it’s crunchy and dry; that won’t happen with this.

Both my gel eyeliner and the black mascara come from a product that I found in Morocco. It’s true black. Even when I was working with the labs they said ‘this is just so deep’ and the same thing came up when I was working on my eyeshadows. I really wanted the pay off to be like the way it looks on the palette.”

“I keep wipes because [after] an interview I want to go and take the makeup off. I use these because they just don’t irritate at all as opposed to regular wipes.

Protein bars, always. I just always need something to eat.

[My blots are] Shiseido because I’m super oily.”

Vitamin D, almonds [and] don’t laugh – in a Ziploc bag. It’s a snack because I’m always on the run. To me a handful of almonds or a protein bar just kind of keeps me from crashing.”

“My glasses, obviously. Everyone knows I always wear my [Oliver Peoples] aviators.”

“Like all my chargers. I just hate seeing loose chargers in a bag. It also helps me change bags easily, because I know it sounds bougie, there are bigger things in the world, [but] I don’t carry the same bag every day. Although, up in Toronto I only have one bag with me. But it just allows you to quickly change your bag.

Headset, wallet, oh most important, this juice pack. You know [how] everyone has those little sticks and they hardly charge?
