Met Gala 2017: The Best Beauty Looks From Last Night’s Event

Just like that, fashion’s biggest night has come and gone. And while the Met Gala is supposed to be one of beauty’s biggest nights, too, with room to play and experiment with hair and makeup more than any red carpet or movie premiere, it doesn’t always work out that way. Old habits (smoky eyes and nude lips) die hard, we suppose.

But this year, at the 2017 Met Gala, themed “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons,” many stars really impressed us by upping their beauty game (Rihanna’s draping! Cara’s silver head!) and generally just stepping outside of their comfort zones. And we couldn’t be happier about it.
