People Think This Perfume Bottle Looks Like a Sex Toy
Big news, guys. Karlie Kloss has launched a perfume with Carolina Herrera, meaning all you Klossy fans can now smell like your fave 6’2 supermodel (and OG T.Swift ~squad~ member), should you be so inclined.
Naturally, the House of Herrera was excited about the launch of their fragrance collab (which, for the record, was announced back in January), and took to Instagram to unveil its video ad starring Kloss on Monday. However, the feedback they received probably wasn’t what they expected, with many people believing the perfume bottle looked like a sex toy or dildo.

The most ironic part? The perfume is called “Good Girl” (and the accompanying hashtag is #GoodToBeBad), which just added to the confusion over the phallic-looking packaging.
“That is a vibrator, not perfume,” commented one Instagram user, according to E!, while another asked, “Who approved this design?” Page Six reports the brand took down the ad following the backlash, however, a House of Herrera tells Refinery29 that is factually incorrect.
“The CH post was a targeted Instagram ad and therefore as an ad, does not live on the brand’s Instagram page — it wasn’t actually deleted,” she told the publication. Obviously, the bottle is not meant to look like a dildo (though that would be kind of awesome), but rather a sky-high stiletto made to look like an existing House of Herrera shoe.
“I wanted an object of feminine power,” Carolina Herrera de Baez previously told Refinery29. “All women, every single one of us, have this duality. We’re not just one-note, or have one talent, or one personality. I wanted to use the shape of the bottle to represent and empower women.”
(Side note: both a dildo and a stiletto could technically be considered “objects of feminine power,” depending how you look at it, but we digress…)
Meanwhile, Karlie defended her “good girl” title to the publication.
“I am a good girl, at least by definition; I try to be professional, I’m very hard working, I try to be better every day,” she said. “But at the same time, I like to have fun, live my life, have my girlfriends, and a sense of humor. I have a naughty side, too. And being a good girl doesn’t make me boring.”
