Everything You Need to Know About Karl Lagerfeld’s Upcoming Makeup Collection
The legendary designer is collaborating with ModelCo on a limited-edition colour cosmetics collection.
Karl Lagerfeld, a.k.a. the king of collaborations, is adding another partnership to his ever-growing roster.
The creative director of Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous line, is teaming up with Australian-based cosmetics company, ModelCo (yes, the very same brand that has a collection with Hailey Baldwin) for a limited-edition makeup line dubbed “Illuminated Beauty.”
According to WWD, the 18-piece collection will be available worldwide in Karl Lagerfeld stores and ModelCo’s distribution network, as well as their respective websites and leading beauty retailers.
“This superfun, highly coveted and collectible collection will combine our high-quality formulas and innovative, technical packaging with Karl Lagerfeld’s unmistakeable artistic aesthetic that’s sophisticated, modern and cool,” said Shelley Sullivan, founder and CEO of ModelCo.
“Through this collaboration, we can offer our consumers a glimpse into how we translate the Karl Lagerfeld vision and aesthetic into unique cosmetics,” said Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive officer of Karl Lagerfeld, in a statement. “We look forward to developing the collection and combining our signature DNA with innovative, cutting-edge beauty products for all women.”
This isn’t the first time Lagerfeld has forayed into the beauty world, however. Uncle Karl previously teamed up with Shu Uemura to create a collection inspired by his beloved cat, Choupette.
No word yet as to who will front this collection (Baldwin, perhaps?), but we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
