Blake Lively’s Stunning Heart Hairstyle Proves Romantic ‘Dos are Here to Stay
Kendall Jenner may have been the reigning queen of heart hair, but it looks like she’s just been dethroned by Blake Lively.
Not that it’s surprising — 29-year-old Lively is known for her enviable tresses (her fish braid at the Green Lantern premiere is forever ingrained in our memories) — and her most recent style, done fittingly for Valentine’s Day, is one we’ve fallen head over heels for.
From the front, the half-up ‘do created by celebrity hairstylist Rod Ortega looks pretty normal. But the back is where the magic happens, with the actress’ strands (along with some His & Her Hair extensions) twisted into a giant heart shape and pinned in place. The rest of Blake’s long, blond mane were left down in a subtle wave, completing the lively lovely look.
And even though this hairstyle was created for VDay (L’Oreal Paris’ Galentine’s Day event, to be exact), that doesn’t mean romantic updos are solely reserved for Feb. 14. Soft and pretty styles were prominent just recently at New York Fashion Week, with models at alice + olivia, Ane Amour, and Jenny Packham sporting romantic styles that are heart-eye emoji-worthy (think mussed-up French braids, brushed out waves and crown braids).
